    Dr Dan Walters

    Veterinary Surgeon/Branch Partner

    BVSc MRCVS

    Dan joined the Willows Vet Group in 2008 after graduating from Liverpool University Veterinary School. Dan worked in our busy Hartford hospital for 6 years before coming to Middlewich, and has been Clinical Director at Middlewich for over 10 years. Dan enjoys all aspects of general practice but finds medicine, surgery and cardiology particularly interesting. The variety of the job, the loyal clients and the great team at Middlewich are all reasons Dan loves his job. Dan is married to another vet called Natalie and they have 3 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.

    Dr Alex Arkle

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Alex started at Middlewich after graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2023. He enjoys working with owners to provide oustanding care for their pets, facilitated by the close-knit team at Middlewich. In his spare time, Alex enjoys all forms of exercise!

    Simone Bennett

    Head Nurse

    RVN

    Simmy started her career in 1987, and has worked mainly in small animal first opinion, where she has been a head nurse for the majority of that time. She has worked in referral setting as the cardiology nurse, and also in the operating theatres.

    Simmy is very passionate about excellent customer service, quality improvement and ensuring the environment is enjoyable for our patients, clients and staff.

    In her spare time, she is a mental health first aider and is currently studying Level 3 Counselling, she has many pets at home including; a giant African desert tortoise, two chihuahuas and too many cats.

    Simone is also a member of council for the BVNA (British Veterinary Nursing Association), and she is part of the legislation group.

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    SVN

    Sophie joined the Middlewich practice in January 2023 as a Veterinary Care Assistant, she then became a Student Veterinary Nurse in 2023. Sophie has an interest in Anaesthetics and looking after the lovely in patients that come to the practice. When Sophie isnt working, she loves to paint, craft and walk her beautiful Whippet, Bluebell.

    Jan Gibbs

    Auxiliary Veterinary Nurse

    Competent Vet Dispenser and Bronze BVRA Customer Service Award

    Jan has been at Middlewich Vets for more than 30 years as a Receptionist/Auxiliary Nurse. Over the years Jan has gained a lot of experience and has been responsible for the laboratory, stock control and various nursing responsibilities, working mainly on Reception as well as back of house. At home, Jan has a lovely Cocker Spaniel called George and in her spare time she enjoys dog walking, reading and gardening.

    Vicky Marshall

    Receptionist

    Competent Vet Dispenser and Bronze BVRA Customer Service Award

    Vicky worked at our main hospital in Hartford for 11 years before joining the team at Middlewich. Vicky really enjoys all aspects of her job and finds it extremely rewarding. At home, Vicky has a handsome Cocker Spaniel called Trevor. In her spare time, Vicky enjoys going for dog walks, and playing football.

    Janet Brown

    Receptionist

    Competent Vet Dispenser and Bronze BVRA Customer Service Award

    Janet has been at Middlewich Vets for over 5 years and brings previous experience working in the veterinary industry. At home, Janet has a boisterous dog called Dexter, and enjoys going on trips and riding her motorbike in her spare time.

    Lorayne Hatton

    Receptionist

    Lorayne joined our team in August 2021 after 14 years of service at the NHS. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and going for walks. Lorayne loves  meeting our clients and their owners, and she has a particular soft spot for the adorable kittens and puppies that come through our doors! Lorayne has a handsome Shih Tzu called Ralphie.

    Megan Wilson

    Animal Care Assistant

    Megan joined the Middlewich team in February 2024, as an Animal Care Assistant. She has completed a four year program at Reaseheath College, where she took Level 1, 2 and 3 courses in Animal Management. Megan is the proud owner of a Cockapoo called Elsie. She enjoyes collaborating with the others in the team at Middlewich, and meeting clients and their pets. Each day at Middlewich presents her with opportunities to learn and grow. She is hoping to train as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future. In her spare time, Megan enjoys crocheting and reading.

    Lesley Davies

    Receptionist/Animal Care Assistant

    Lesley started with Middlewich Vets in May 2023, as a Receptionist/Animal Care Assistant. She loves creating reception displays for the practice. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her granddaughters. Lesley’s favourite animals are guinea pigs.
